The problem

You find a strong stock after it has already run. You wait for a dip. Then the dip arrives and you freeze, because you cannot tell whether this is a normal pause or the start of something worse.

On day one, a pullback and a breakdown look identical: price is falling. The difference is context: whether the larger trend is still intact, whether the decline is orderly, and whether you have decided in advance where you are wrong.

Most people skip that homework. They buy the dip because it is cheaper than yesterday, and they have no plan for what happens if it keeps falling.

What The Pullback Playbook is

The Pullback Playbook teaches one idea, over and over: a pullback entry is a plan, not a prediction.

You will learn to read trend with three simple moving averages, measure how deep and how long a pullback has been, read volume and candles honestly (including where those clues fail), recognise three entry triggers, plan the retest of a breakout, and write down your entry, stop, first reference and position size before you trade.

Every example is a real chart from the past with the plan drawn on it. Some of the examples work. Some hit their stop. That is deliberate: the examples teach, and the losers teach more than the winners.

The six modules

MODULE 1

Trend First

Define a pullback, read trend with the 20, 50 and 200-day averages, and learn the three-question checklist.

MODULE 2

Healthy vs. Dangerous Pullbacks

Depth and time, volume and candles (with their honest limits), warning signs, and market context.

MODULE 3

Three Entry Triggers

The moving-average bounce, the shakeout and higher low, and how to write the trade plan.

MODULE 4

The Breakout Retest

Anatomy of a retest, which levels matter, and what to do when the retest fails.

MODULE 5

Managing the Trade

Targets and scaling out, trailing with a moving average, earnings and gap risk.

MODULE 6

The Weekly Routine

Build a weekly watchlist, run the routine, keep a journal, and follow a 30-day paper-trading plan.

Who it is for

Who it is not for

The honest part

Pullbacks fail. Stops can be gapped through, and you will see an example in Lesson 5.3. The 20 charts in the Casebook were chosen to teach, not as a fair sample, and some of them hit their planned stop. Nothing in this course predicts what any stock will do next.

Questions

Is this a signal service?
No. The Playbook is education. It does not tell you what to buy or sell. You build your own plans from your own rules.

Do I need special software?
No. Any charting platform that can show daily candles, volume and moving averages will do. The Chart Layout Setup Guide shows the setup.

How much experience do I need?
You should know what a stock chart and a stop order are. Everything else is explained in plain words.

Does it promise results?
No. Trading involves substantial risk of loss. Examples are from the past and past results do not predict future results.

Hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading and may not be impacted by brokerage and other slippage fees. Also, since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown.

HYPOTHETICAL OR SIMULATED PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE CERTAIN LIMITATIONS. UNLIKE AN ACTUAL PERFORMANCE RECORD, SIMULATED RESULTS DO NOT REPRESENT ACTUAL TRADING. ALSO, SINCE THE TRADES HAVE NOT BEEN EXECUTED, THE RESULTS MAY HAVE UNDER-OR-OVER COMPENSATED FOR THE IMPACT, IF ANY, OF CERTAIN MARKET FACTORS, SUCH AS LACK OF LIQUIDITY. SIMULATED TRADING PROGRAMS IN GENERAL ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DESIGNED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFIT OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN.

No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. In fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. Hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk in actual trading.
