Anyone can sell an option. The hard part is everything around it: which stock, which strike, how much, and what you will do when the stock does not cooperate. Most of the pain people describe with covered calls and cash-secured puts is not the option. It is the stock they should never have been willing to own, the position that grew too large, or the roll made only to avoid admitting the trade was wrong.
The Playbook puts the decisions in order. Stock first, premium second. Premium is a payment for risk, not free money, and a large premium usually means the market sees something uncertain. So you start with the chart and the calendar, size the position for the case where you are assigned, and write your plan for every outcome and your stop rules before the trade, not after.
| Lesson | Length |
|---|---|
| Start Here How to use the Playbook, what it is, and what it is not. | 1:35 |
| 1. Premium Selling Basics and the Real Risks Covered calls and cash-secured puts, what each gives you, and every real risk you accept. | 3:44 |
| 2. Choosing Wheel Stocks With Charts Trend, liquidity, group strength, and the event calendar, before you look at any premium. | 2:54 |
| 3. Cash-Secured Puts: Strike, Size, and the Plan A strike near support, sized so one assignment cannot sink the account, with the plan written first. | 2:46 |
| 4. Covered Calls: Strike, Cycle, and the Seven Questions Cost basis, strike, cycle, the three outcomes, and the seven questions before every call. | 2:58 |
| 5. Managing and Rolling What to do when the stock falls, runs away, or goes nowhere, and what rolling does and does not fix. | 2:29 |
| 6. When to Stop the Wheel Written rules for when to pause or exit a wheel stock, set before you enter. | 2:11 |
| 7. The Weekly 20-Minute Wheel Routine A repeatable 20-minute review of your positions and watch list that ends in a written plan. | 2:16 |
Lesson lengths are the real running times of the finished videos.
The Annotated Wheel Cycles document runs the Playbook's written rules on real past stock prices, so you can see how the rules behave when things go well, when they go sideways, and when they end in a stop. It is a study document. It does not tell you what to trade.
| Stock | Entry | Price source | Path |
|---|---|---|---|

| WMT | May 14, 2026 | Verified quotes | Put assigned, call sold and expired, stop rule ended the position. |
| MCD | January 11, 2019 | Estimated premiums | Put assigned, one call expired, shares called away on the second. |
| KO | April 14, 2022 | Estimated premiums | Put assigned, two calls expired, shares called away on the third. |
| MSFT | July 14, 2023 | Estimated premiums | Put assigned, two calls expired, shares called away on the third. |
| UNH | April 14, 2022 | Estimated premiums | Put assigned, call expired, stop rule ended the position. |
The six cycles were chosen to teach six different paths, not because they are typical. Two end in a stop-rule exit. Losses and stops happen, and the document says so. It gives no success rate, and none should be inferred from it.
Lesson 1 spends its time here, and so should you before any trade.
It is education, not advice. It places no trades and gives no signals, picks, or personalized recommendations. The examples use hypothetical teaching numbers or labeled past data. Your results will depend on your own decisions, and you can lose money, including the full value of the shares you own.
PET-D and Strategy #4 are separate, optional Wolf Eye Options programs. Neither is included in the Playbook and their rules are not taught here. You do not need either to use this course.

You can learn and practice without owning anything: the lessons, the checklists, and the tracker all work with pretend trades. To place a covered call you need 100 shares, and to place a cash-secured put you need the cash to buy 100 shares at the strike.
The eight videos run about 21 minutes in total. Most of your time goes into the checklists and the practice log in the tracker, which you do at your own pace.
No. Module 2 teaches you how to screen for stocks you would be willing to own, but you make every choice. There are no picks or alerts.
No. It is a single payment.
The stock prices are real. Two cycles use real saved option quotes. Four use estimated option premiums, and they are labeled as estimates everywhere they appear.
The Playbook builds on the same ideas and goes further: it adds cash-secured puts, choosing stocks, managing and rolling, stop rules, and a weekly routine.

Wolf Eye Options · Educational use only
Educational use only. Not investment advice, not a recommendation, and not an order to buy or sell any security. Options involve risk and are not suitable for every investor; you can lose money, including the full value of shares you own. All trade examples are hypothetical teaching numbers or past data labeled as such, and are not forecasts. Wolf Eye Options is an education publication and does not provide personalized advice. Read Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options, published by the Options Clearing Corporation, before trading options.
Hypothetical or simulated results have inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading, and the results may under- or over-compensate for the impact of market factors such as lack of liquidity or slippage. Simulated examples are designed with the benefit of hindsight. The annotated cycles use real past stock prices; four of the six use estimated option premiums from a pricing model, not prices anyone was paid. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. Past results do not predict future results.
